Check out what to do this holiday weekend in RVA!

Feel like giving back? There are plenty of opportunites to help those less fortunate this holiday weekend. The Giving Heart is looking for volunteers to help with their annual Community Thanksgiving Feast . It is a free event for ALL to attend in the Greater Richmond Area. The traditional Thanksgiving meal includes turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, veggies, rolls and more! Held at the Greater Richmond Convention Center 11:00-3:00 tomorrow, they are still looking for volunteers to help out!

Maybe you’re trying to be proactive about all that food and pie coming your way tomorrow? Sign up for a Turkey Trot! Usually a short distance, some go a little longer, but still tons of fun for the whole family! The Wegmans 10k Turkey Trot (with separate Kids Fun Run) takes off at the University of Richmond and takes you all over town.

On Friday, a Richmond holiday classic comes back – the Dominion Energy Gardenfest of Lights at Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens! Starting on Friday and continuing all throughout the holiday season nightly from 5 – 10 p.m. head out into the gardens to see a dazzling display of more than half-a-million lights and hand-crafted botanical decorations. In addition they’ll have holiday dinners, s’mores around the firepit and hot chocolate to stay warm! This year’s theme is “Stories in Lights.” Don’t miss is!

Happy Thanksgiving from our family to yours!
