Happy Friday, Richmond and welcome to September! This week we will be looking at the Eagle Home’s subdivision McRae and Lacy subdivision located in Downtown Richmond. A newer subdivision in the heart of Richmond, this townhome subdivision has so much to offer and starts in the upper 600’s. Check out some of the local events happening in Richmond this weekend.

On Friday evening, the “Cheers to the Weekend” will be happening at Coconuts Bar and Grill. From the event’s website, “CHEERS TO THE WEEKEND FRIDAY’S. Saturday, the “Wizard Pub Crawl” will be happening from 3pm until 9pm. From the events information, “On Saturday, September 7th, 2019 come stroll through some of Richmond’s most magical pubs, breweries and cideries as Markster Con‘s infamous WIZARD PUB CRAWL flies into Scott’s Additionas part of Richmond’s WIZARD WEEKEND” (eventbrite.com). Make sure to meet up at Bingo Beer Company first for the Wizard Registration. The starting location is also only a 10 minute drive from McRae and Lacy. Also happening on Saturday is the annual “Recovery Fest and BBQ Cookoff” from 12pm to 5pm. Information from the website includes, “The McShin Foundation’s 15th Annual Recovery Fest & 10th Annual KCBS BBQ Cook Off will be on September 7th, 2019 and we are getting excited! This event is our favorite way to celebrate National Recovery Month and we hope you will be a part of it. This year is the 30th year of National Recovery Month – and we are hoping to have the biggest Recovery Fest yet! The event is from 12-5 PM with about 2,500 people attending throughout the day. We will have live music, speakers, vendors, nonprofits, state agencies, delicious food, kids’ activities and – of course – the Kansas City Barbecue Society BBQ Cook Off! To end the weekend on Sunday, make sure to check out the Armenian Food Festival. From the website, “Join St. James Armenian Church for the 61st annual Armenian Food Festival ! Come experience one of Richmond’s oldest cultural festivals. Share our delicious food, wine and beer, listen to our music, and watch our dancers. Come tour our beautiful church and learn more about the Armenian Orthodox religion,” (www.local.aarp.com). The festival is only a 15 minute drive from McRae and Lacy.
