Another week has flown by this summer which means it’s time for another Friday update on events happening this weekend! This week we are looking at the subdivision, Patriots Landing New Home Community in New Kent. There are many builders who build in this subdivision, but we are going to look at Eastwood Homes builder this week. New Kent is only about a 30 minute drive from Richmond and has a lot to offer with it being near Williamsburg as well. Check out these local events this weekend!
Friday evening, the New Kent Winery is having an event called Music and Menu. A perfect way to wine down with friends and family on this hot summer night, and hear some local live music and also enjoy the winery’s menu and of course wine options. The event starts at 6pm and will last until 9pm. New Kent Winery is located at 8400 Old Church Road in New Kent and is approximately a 15 minute ride from Patriots Landing.
On Saturday morning, “Yoga in the Yard” will be happening and open to the public at the Colonial Kitchen and Market in New Kent. The information online states: “Join us for Yoga in the Yard. We’ll lengthen and strengthen our muscles in Mother Nature’s splendor. Your ticket also includes an after yoga drink at Colonial Kitchen and Market (wine, beer, juice, tea).” (facebook.com). Tickets to this event are $15 and can be purchased at the event or in advance. Yoga will begin at 1030am at the market which is located at 11861 New Kent Highway. The ride to yoga from Patriots Landing is 20 minutes.
Also happening on Saturday, “Paintball: Walk- On Game” at the New Kent Paintball/Airsoft Games starting at 9am and going on until 5pm. A statement from the website, “July is our hottest month so bring extra water and all the necessary items for playing in the upcoming heat!! We’ll be open to all for paintball but watch how hard you play alright!! Things get intense here with all the bunkers, bases, towers, and trenches that we got for you all to play in but be aware of your limits too! Anyways, if you have any questions for us then do let us know!!” (allevents.in). The paintball event is located at 14375 Marine Corps Drive in Lanexa and is a 30 minute drive from Patriots Landing.
To end the weekend, head on back to New Kent Winery for a couple events on Sunday. From 1pm-3pm a “Production Sensory Class” will be happening and wine tastings will be involved.
