Everyone’s favorite day of the week has arrived yet again, good to see you Friday! This week we are looking at the coming soon Ryan Home’s community, Pemberton Ridge in Henrico. Going live in September, and in the Henrico County School District, this community has a lot to offer and here are the events that are happening this weekend.

On Friday night, the “Short Pump Summer Concert Series” will be taking place at the main plaza at the Short Pump Town Center. Starting at 530, the band, “Three Sheets to the Wind” will be performing. Along with the live music there will be wine tastings going on at the Cooper’s Hawk Winery and Restaurant and beer tastings at Rock Bottom Brewery. The event will last until 8pm and the exact address is 11800 W Broad Street. This event is approximately a 10 minute drive from Pemberton Ridge.

Saturday, the “RVA Caribbean Heritage Festival” will be happening starting at 11am and it is a free event. The event will have vendors, live music and performances, a kid area, and of course caribbean food available for purchase. The event will go on until 6pm that evening and it is located at the Dorey Park and Recreation Center. The address for this event is 2999 Darbeytown Road, Henrico, VA 23231 and is approximately a 30 minute drive from Pemberton Ridge. Saturday evening, the “Haunts of Richmond – Capitol Hill Tour” will be taking place starting at 9pm. The event focuses on who else may be walking the halls of Capitol Hill, and not just security guards and officials. The “Haunts of Richmond – Capitol Hill Tour” is located at 1200 East Cary Street in Richmond and is approximately a 20 minute drive from Pemberton Ridge.

On Sunday to end the weekend, the opening day of the Carytown Farmers Market will be taking place starting at 9am, and will last until 1pm. With all things local including plants, food and music, this event will go on every Sunday until November. It is free to attend with the option to purchase items when there. This event is located at the Richmond City Stadium and at 3201 Maplewood Avenue in Richmond. This event is approximately a 15 minute drive from Pemberton Ridge.
