Can you believe it, this weekend starts the first weekend of June and the temps are rising and a lot of events happening this weekend. This week, we are focusing on the golf course community, Magnolia Green in Moseley, Virginia and also on the builder, Lifestyle Homes. Magnolia Green is a lovely community that is home to several builders who build in that community. Also being in the Chesterfield area, let’s look and see what events are happening this weekend!
To start off the weekend, Southside Speedway is having their first responders night on the track. Before the race, all of the first responders will be out front to greet guests as they come in starting at 645pm. In addition to this, all first responders who attend will get a discounted $14 ticket. The gates will open at 6pm and the race will start at 745pm. On Saturday, people 15 and up can take advantage of a full lifeguard certification class, and what better way to get ready for the summer months than to be certified as a lifeguard! The class will begin on Saturday from 9am to 5pm and end on Sunday. To take this class it is $225 and is located at 10800 Center View Drive, N Chesterfield, VA, 23235 and is approximately a 30 minute drive from Magnolia Green. On Saturday evening, “Glow Night” will be taking place at the Martial Arts World of Chesterfield. With all things “Glow” there will be glow in the dark dodgeball, glow sticks, black lights, fun and games and snacks. Tickets are $20 a child and then $10 for each additional sibling. On Sunday to end the first weekend of June, you can take an introductory archery class which will focus on everything there is needed to be known for a beginner archer. How to use the equipment along with shooting archery will all be included in the price of the ticket which is $20. The event starts at 2pm and will go on until 4pm at the Rockwood Nature Center which is located at 3401 Courthouse Road, N Chesterfield, VA 23836, and is approximately a 20 minute drive from Magnolia Green.
