Good afternoon and Happy Memorial Day Weekend, Richmond! With the long weekend in place, there are a lot of events happening this weekend. This week we are looking at the Eagle Home’s community in short pump, John Rolfe Square community. With it being Memorial Day Weekend, there is a lot happening.
To start off the weekend, on Friday night “Barlife Fridays” will be happening at Cornerstone Bar and Restuarant. For a free event to get in the door, the bar will be having drinks and food for purchase along with a live DJ for entertainment. On Saturday evening, the “Saturdays Latin Nights at Aloft” starting at 830pm. Enjoy the night with your favorite drinks, different types of food and of course social dance lessons. To get in the door there is a $5 cash cover, but there is free parking at the hotel. This event is approximately a 5 minute drive from the John Rolfe Square community as it is located at 3939 Duckling Drive in Glen Allen. On Sunday, the “Seersuckers, Sundresses, and Sounds 2019” event is taking place in the Museum District of Richmond. Hosted by Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Chapter in Henrico. The event will have live music and a chance to break out the summer months in your seersuckers and sundresses. This event is approximately a 20 minute drive from the John Rolfe Square community. To end the weekend, on Monday, Memorial Day, to thank all of our hero’s out there, Firebirds in Short Pump is offering a free meal to all veterans, Gold Star Families, and all active duty service members with proper identification. Firebirds is located in the Short Pump Mall and is approximately a 10 minute drive from the John Rolfe Square community.
