Happy Friday, Richmond! With the temperatures on the rise make sure to check out some local events happening this weekend in the Henrico area. This week we are taking a look at the Saunders Station Townes by Stylecraft Homes. The location of these Townes is 300 Broad Hill Oaks Lane, Henrico, VA 23233 or maybe more commonly known as near the Bon Secours Parkway.

To start the weekend, on Friday evening Dominion Energy’s River Rock Festival is taking place at Richmond’s Brown Island. A sports and music festival, River Rock has a lot to offer to everyone in the family. With several events happening all weekend, Friday evening starts it all including South Hill Banks performing live. The festival itself opens at 5pm and is in general free to the public but the events that are happening are what will require tickets. On Saturday, the 35th annual Lebanese Food Festival will be going on at Saint Anthony’s Maronite Catholic Church from 10am to 10pm. Not only a great way to expand your taste buds and learn more about Lebanese food, but there will also be live music and it is free to the public with food to be purchased. This event will also be happening all weekend and is approximately a 10 minute drive from the Saunders Station Townes. The location of the church is 4611 Sadler Road, Glen Allen, VA 23060. Saturday evening, the “In-Your-Face Fireworks and Faith Night” event will be taking place at the Richmond Flying Squirrels Stadium at 5pm. Along with fireworks in the evening, live music and player testimonials will be taking place and a chance to get a close look at the field. On Sunday, after a weekend full of outdoor events, The Altria Theater is hosting the musical, “Something Rotten” at 1pm. The musical takes place in the year 1595 and is based on two brothers who want to write a hit play. The Altria Theater is approximately a 25 minute drive from the Saunders Station Townes.
