Happy first week of May, Richmond! What fun events are you attending this weekend? Take a look at what’s going on in the Chesterfield area if you’re looking for something to do. This week we are looking at the builder, Lifestyle Builders and a community they are a part of, Harpers Mill. Harpers Mill, a new construction community in Chesterfield has a lot to offer for the entire family and is located at 8600 Pullman Lane, Chesterfield, VA 23832.
To start the weekend, on Friday evening “Faith Night” is happening at “The Toughest Short Track in the South”, also known as Southside Speedway, starting at 6pm. A family friday night favorite that involves several races of different kinds of race cars. The doors open at 6pm and the races start at 745pm. Food and drink is served but the option to bring your own is allowed allowed. Southside Speedway is approximately a 20 minute drive from the Harpers Mill community. On Saturday, in observance of Cinco de Mayo, a festival will be happening to celebrate the holiday. The event is called “Cinco de Mayo Fiesta Weekend” and is happening at Stoney Point Fashion Park. This event is free to attend with the option to purchase food and drinks along with dancing, games, and assorted activities. Stoney Point Fashion Park is located at 9200 Stoney Point Parkway, Richmond, VA 23235 and is approximately a 30 minute drive from Harpers Mill. Saturday evening after the festival, head on over to Magnolia Green Golf Club to see “Groovin’ on the Green” by The Bachelor Boys. Tickets can be purchased in advance or at the door, and this is a 21+ event with the option to purchase food and drinks. The gate opens at 5pm and will go on until 930pm on the wedding lawn.
