On Friday evening, head out to Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden as they illuminate the Dominion Energy GardenFest of Lights, one of RVA’s favorite holiday traditions! Doors open at 4 pm, followed by a countdown to flipping the switch on one million twinkling lights at 5:30 pm. After the illumination, stroll through the Garden and interact with living statues, watch aerialists and dancers perform, and enjoy holiday music from the Henrico Pops Chorus! Then enjoy hand-crafted botanical decorations, model trains, warming fire with s’mores and hot chocolate, family activities, and much more!

The turkey has been eaten and the Black Friday deals have been snagged…but are you ready for Small Business Saturday in RVA? Did you know that for every $100 you spend at a local business, $68 is returned into the community (as opposed to $43 when you shop at a chain retailer according to the American Independent Business Alliance)? This year, we encourage you to shop local, from the hundreds of retailers and makers all over the Richmond Region that help give RVA its undeniable charm and character! Check out http://thinkshopbuylocal.com/local-stories/find-local-gifts to find a 2018 Gift Guide for inspiration and deals from tons of local businesses!
