Now that the sun has finally come back
out, take a look at what’s going on around RVA this weekend!
On Saturday from 11-5, Stony Point
Fashion Park is hosting a beer festival featuring local breweries, live music,
sports and more! This inaugural Beer Festival will feature Legend, Ardent,
Lickinghole Creek, Kindred Spirit, Midnight, Vasen, Castleburg, Star Hill,
Strangeways, Steam Bell, Intermission Beer Company and Devils Backbone! Tickets
for unlimited tastings are $20 in advance and $30 at the door.
Once the sun goes down on Saturday
evening, be sure to check out InLight Richmond, an annual public exhibition of
light-based art and performances at VMFA! InLight Richmond features
performances, sculpture, video, and interactive projects that illuminate
pathways, walls, sidewalks, and green spaces of the VMFA and was created in
2008 on the occasion of 1708 Gallery’s 30th birthday. From 7-10 PM come out and
experience this unique contemporary art exhibit with this year’s theme focusing
on the concept of an ideal, unified community here in Richmond.
Finally, on Sunday from 11-4 you can
get some holiday shopping in at The Urban Roost’s first holiday Brunch Market
of the season! Grab a mimosa and one of Lunch Supper’s famous biscuits and make
your way through tons of local vendors, makers, and crafters selling amazing and
unique gifts, sure to please even the hardest ones on your list to shop for! This
is a family and dog friendly event, however please use your best judgement with
children, strollers and pets as the market tends to get quite busy!
