Stone Brewing is celebrating the two year anniversary of their first local brew by throwing a HUGE party for the people of Richmond to show their appreciation! Stone’s Throwdown will take place on Saturday, September 8th on Brown’s Island. For just $20 you can enjoy a full day of food, games, beer, and music featuring artists like NO BS! BRASS and Drive-By Truckers to name a few. Craft beer from Stone Brewing and other local breweries will be available for purchase. This year’s event will benefit local organizations including the James River Association, Neighborhood Resource Center of Greater Fulton, Virginia Capital Trail Foundation, and Venture Richmond. All ages are welcome and children under 12 get in free. Gates open at 1:00 and performances start at 1:30!

Hardywood Brewing is hosting their 6th annual Richmond Bluegrass Festival on Saturday from 1:00-10:00! With six fantastic Bluegrass bands performing on two stages all day, food trucks including Hollywood Cheesesteaks, Slideways Mobile Bistro, and King Of Pops to keep you cool, and of course delicious Hardywood beer on tap, this celebration is not to be missed! This event is free, family and dog friendly, and all ages are welcome!

Broaden your cultural and culinary horizons at the 60th Annual Armenian Food Festival! One of RVA’s longest running events, this festival features a weekend of music, dancing, celebration, and delicious home-made Armenian cuisine. The festival takes place at St. James Armenian Church at 834 Pepper Avenue in Richmond. The event will run on Friday and Saturday, September 7th and 8th from 11:30 – 9:00 and Sunday the 9th from 12:00 – 7:00.
