Welcome to the last weekend of summer Richmonders! If you don’t have plans for Labor Day Weekend yet, here are some awesome events going on around RVA!

Hardywood Park West Creek is proud to present the 2018 Tuckahoe Creek Americana Festival! On Saturday, September 1st, join Hardywood for an exciting day of national, regional, and local music acts as well as local craft makers, bonfires, and yard games! With both indoor and outdoor stages and plenty of room inside, the festival will go on as planned rain or shine! Onsite food trucks include Mean Bird, The Return of the Mac, Dank Eats, Grandpa Eddie’s BBQ, and more! General admission costs $20 while a $50 VIP ticket gets you access to an indoor private serving area, complimentary catered food throughout the day, and a Tuckahoe Creek Americana Music Festival commemorative glass, koozie, and poster!

On Sunday, September 2nd James River Cellars, in conjunction with several other wineries, is hosting a festival to celebrate the fall harvest! Come out and sample wine from Saude Creek Vineyards, Williamsburg Winery, Upper Shirley Vineyards, and Hampton Roads Winery! They’ll be serving oysters and other delicious fare from Gregory’s Grill & My Big Fat Grapevine and will have live music all afternoon! The party starts at noon, tickets are $25 general admission/$30 VIP at the gate! VIP gets you in early at 11:00 and a free tour of the grounds at 11:45. Rain date is Monday September 3rd!

If you’re looking for family friendly fun, head out to Powhatan for their annual Labor Day Parade! The parade starts at 11:00 am on Monday September 3rd at the Historic Powhatan Courthouse and continues through town. Come out and enjoy this time honored tradition sponsored by the Powhatan Lions Club!
