Happy Friday! Here’s what RVA has to offer this weekend:

RVA is known for its summer festivals, but did you know about its popular winter festival, Shiver in the River?! The festival on Saturday 2/24 has several parts: a community clean up along the banks of the James starting at 10:00, a fun 5K at 12:00, and ends with a polar plunge in the James River at 2:00. Hang out before and after for the Winter Festival including heated tents, food and beverage vendors, music, and a fun environmental atmosphere for all!

On Saturday night, Vagabond is hosting the RVA Bootleggers Ball, a roaring 20s prohibition style party! The annual event will benefit the Richmond Coalition of Police this year. Costumes are highly encouraged, and the $50 tickets include admission, light hors d’oeuvres, and 2 beverage tickets. The entertainment lineup is stacked so you’ll be dancing the night away! If you’re stuck on what to wear to this speakeasy soiree check out MediaNoche in Stony Point Fashion Park, Bygones in Carytown and Halcyon Vintage off Robinson Street for some chic looks that would even impress Mr. Gatsby himself.

On Sunday 2/25, join Peak Experiences for a neighborhood clean up from 11-1! They’re meeting at their new location at the SCOR complex on Overbrook Rd and it’ll end (conveniently) at Hardywood! All cleanup volunteers get a ticket for a free beer at the brewery and a free day pass at Peak!
