Well, Hurricane Florence may not have hit us as predicted, but she did wipe out a lot of this weekend’s scheduled events. Here are some alternative rainy day activities to get you and the fam through the weekend!

The Children’s Museum of Richmond is always a great option! It’s located just beside the Science Museum on W Broad St and if you’ve got a whole day to kill we’d recommend checking out both! With exhibits such as the Art Station, Book Nook, and Dino Zone, there’s certain to be something to interest every kid at the Children’s Museum. CMoR also has three satellite locations in Short Pump, Midlothian, and Fredericksburg, so take your pick!

If you’re trying to get active, Peak Experiences is an awesome way to spend the day. This indoor climbing gym offers classes at all levels, and you can climb just for the day or become a member. Plus, they have two convenient locations, one in Midlothian and their new location near Scott’s Addition. This huge climbing center has over 15,000 sq. ft. of climbing terrain with 5,000 sq. ft. of bouldering, a lead climbing specific area, separate group event space, yoga studio and more!

Midlothian’s Uptown Alley is another great family friendly weekend activity. They have 38 lanes of bowling, an arcade and billiards room, a full-service bar and restaurant with great food, and plenty of TVs to watch Sunday Football!
