Good afternoon and happy Friday, Richmond! Need some ideas for things to do this weekend? Look no further. This week we are looking at a community in Ashland that StyleCraft Homes builds in, Woodside Estates, and also the events that are taking place. Woodside Estates, a community right in the middle of Ashland, offers half an acre size lots and many amenities. 

To start off the weekend on Friday there is a “Travel and Cruise Mixer” which is free to the public. This event will offer door prizes and refreshments, along with advice and knowledge on becoming a travel agent. The event is located at, “A Perfect Day Events” on 10364 Leadbetter Road in Ashland. On Saturday, the Ashland Farmers Market will be open starting at 9am until noon. With local foods and other things for sale, this is always a local favorite! If you can’t make this event tomorrow no worries because it is actually open every Saturday until October. The Farmers Market is located at the Henry Clay Elementary School on 310 S James Street in Ashland. For more information on the farmers market please visit www.local.aarp.org. Also happening on Saturday evening, “The Keel Brothers Show” will be happening and available to the public starting at 6pm. The event will last until 930, and is happening at Ashland Coffee and Tea. The Keel Brothers focus on music that stems from the father, mainly being classic country. Their music has a Merle Haggard, Hank Williams type feel. To end the weekend, on Sunday there is a meet up happening for a Ashland and Randolph Macon College hike and pub crawl. If interested, meet in the Andy’s restaurant parking lot at 3pm and from there the hike will take place. The hike will consist of walking around Ashland so wear comfortable shoes.
