One of RVA’s most famous citizens is turning 210 tomorrow! The annual 12 hour birthday bash in honor of Edgar Allen Poe is back at the Poe Museum on Saturday starting at noon! Enjoy live music, reading of Poe’s works, film screenings, poetry readings, with birthday cake and a champagne toast at midnight! Party runs from noon to midnight at 1914-16 E. Main St. and admission is $8.

Be sure to swing by the Jewish Food Festival on Sunday for traditional homemade delicacies like knishes, potato latkes, matzo ball soup and more! Plus Legend’s has brewed a special beer for the occasion, “Poppa’s Pumpernickel Porter.” Enjoy live music, great food, performances and more from 11:30 a.m.-7:30 p.m. at Weinstein JCC, 5403 Monument Ave.

Since the weather isn’t supposed to be so great, take the kids to check out the brand new Curious George exhibit opening on Saturday at the Science Museum of VA! This exhibit is geared towards the younger crowd and recreates scenes from the classic stories while offering hands on learning experiences in math, science, and engineering. The science museum is located at 2500 W. Broad St. and tickets are included in general admission: $10-$19. Exhibit runs through September 15.
