This Saturday from 12-8, head over to Libbie Hill Park for the annual Hogtober Festival! Benefiting the Church Hill Association of RVA, this day of music, beer, and BBQ is not to be missed! Enjoy different styles of BBQ from Carolina to Texas and everything in between, served up by Buz and Ned’s, Alamo, Inner City Blues and more! Beers on tap include local favorites from Ardent as well as Bold Rock Cider and other domestic drafts. The music lineup includes 6 different bands ranging in styles from rock to R&B to pop, so there’s bound to be something for everyone to enjoy. This event is family friendly (but no pets)!

Also going down on Saturday is Powhatan’s 16th annual Festival of the Grape! Featuring over 25 Virginia wineries, 100 vendors, music, food trucks and more, Powhatan’s historic Courthouse Village will be transformed into one giant party! Tickets are $30 at the door and include entry to the festival grounds and tastings with participating wineries including Barboursville Winery, James River Cellars, Peaks of Otter winery and many more. Non-wine drinkers are in luck since this year they’ve added something new – tastings from local distilleries like Belle Isle Craft Spirits, Catoctin Creek, and Fine Creek Brewing. On site food trucks include MoBoDillaz, River City Woodfire Pizza, Sherri’s Crabcakes, Dank Eats and more to satisfy all your cravings and the live music line up will keep the celebration going all day long! Party starts at 11 am!
