Here’s a couple cool events going on around RVA this weekend!
On Saturday, September 29th Fine Creek Brewing Co in Powhatan is hosting their annual Oktoberfest celebration with traditional (and not so traditional) German food, drinks, and more! On tap will be their Oktoberfest Märzen Lager, Bavarian Hefeweizen, Rauchtoberfest (smoked Märzen Lager), and Dunkelweizenbock (say that three times fast). They’ll have Weinerschnitzel Sliders, Pretzels, Brats, and more to keep you full and live music from 4:30-7:30. Take some Oktoberfest home with you by purchasing a custom German-made 1 Liter Rastal Isar Stein!
This Sunday, September 30th, come out to Tredeger Iron Works for the 14th annual Blue Grass & Blue Crab Festival to benefit the residents of Saint Francis Home! Enjoy all you can eat steamed blue crabs, spiced shrimp, BBQ, hush puppies, oysters, drinks and more from 4-8 pm. Tickets are on sale now for $70 online or at the door. The Slack Family Blue Grass band will be playing all afternoon and they’ll have a bouncy house, face painter, caricature artist and more to keep the kids entertained!
