Can you believe Vasen Brewing has been open for a year already?! They’re throwing a 1 Year Anniversary Festival on Saturday 7/28 from 12-10 PM in the large parking lot across the street from the brewery at 3331 Moore St. This event is sure to be one of Scott’s Addition biggest events to date. They’ll have live music playing all day, including salsa sensation Bio Ritmo, an aptly named “RVA Blues” session from the band Bush League, and much more! You can enjoy all your favorite Vasen brews in addition to beverages from over 15 local breweries and cideries who will be serving at the festival as well! Onsite food trucks include Goatocado, Indo-Tibetan, Rappahannock Oyster Company, ZZQ, King of Pops, Nightingale Ice Cream Sandwiches, and Lush Cupcakes. They’ll have all kinds of outdoor activity demos and lessons including fly casting, archery, and slacklining so it’s the perfect chance for you to try something new (I would recommend trying these out before enjoying one too many libations)! They are also hosting several speakers who will discussing topics ranging from urban wildlife management and conservation to creating outdoor experiences for all including those with disabilities. Tickets are $12 for entry and 2 drink tickets, $30 for entry, 6 drink tickets and an anniversary glass, and $5 for designated drivers or those under 21. This sure to be an awesome event, be sure to check it out!
