On Friday evening, Lewis Ginter is throwing an “around the world” Garden Soiree complete with live music, dancing, food and drink on the picturesque grounds of the botanical gardens. Experience the different cultures of Asia, Latin America and India through taste, sight, and sound. All weekend long, a special three-day event, The Festival of the River, is going down on Brown’s Island! A unique coalition including The City of Richmond, Venture Richmond, the Richmond Symphony, VCU Institute for Contemporary Art, Back to the Bay, 1708 Gallery, James River Association, Capital Region Collaborative and more are proud to present this one time festival. Highlights include performances from the Richmond Symphony, NO BS! Brass Band, contemporary artists and more. In celebration of Chesapeake Bay Awareness Week, they will also be conducting cleanups along and around the river and kid-friendly educational activities. The Beer, Bourbon, and BBQ festival has returned to RVA!
