Welcome to the weekend Richmonders! It’s going to be sunny and warm and actually feel like spring! There’s a ton of events going on, be sure to check them out!

The Big Pig Project is RVA’s biggest BBQ block party, where everyone (kids and dogs too!) is invited to come out and enjoy a fun day supporting the Ronald McDonald House of Richmond! The party kicks off at Lunch and Supper in Scott’s Addition at 11:00 AM on Saturday with The Brunch Market, featuring local vendors selling art, jewelry, bath products, pottery, crafts, and more! At 12:00 the kid’s activities get fired up with arts and crafts and a bounce house! Soon after the live music starts followed by the first auction, a cooking demonstration, more music, and a whole lot of fun! Craft beer, mimosas, and bloody marys are on tap to quench your thirst along with delicious BBQ (duh) to keep you full! Things will start winding down around 6:00 so get there early!

The RVA Earth Day festival is going down on Saturday too! This street festival will feature local artists, bands, chefs, food trucks, breweries, and environmentalists, all with a goal to celebrate our planet and educate Richmonders on how we can all take steps to care for it a little more! Learn about locally available sustainable products and services while shopping local vendors, eating and drinking RVA’s best, and enjoying live music. Swing by the kids area for art and other fun activities! You can also take part in the “Race Without A Trace” Earth Day 5k! The festival takes place in Manchester at 24 E 3rd St.

Finally, on Sunday you can wind down with a relaxing day at Vasen Brewing. At 11:00 AM enjoy yoga with One Drop Yoga in the Barrel Room. Come as you are, pay what you can! Once you’ve gotten your workout in, Hungry Arrow Food Truck will be serving delicious food starting at 1:00. Finish out the weekend with live music from Main Street Station A Capella!
