It’s going to be a beautiful weekend here in RVA, make sure you get out and enjoy it!

Friday evening is The Flying Squirrels opening game! There are still some tickets left, but there won’t be for long – The Squirrels are heading towards their ninth consecutive Opening Night Sellout! Throwing out the first pitch is 5-time MLB All-Star Fred McGriff, and other VIPs in attendance include Mayor Lavar Stoney and Virginia Governor Ralph Northam. Gates open at 5:30, first pitch is 7:05, but make sure you stick around for the famous dueling fireworks after the game!

On Saturday, another time-honored Richmond tradition takes center stage – the Monument Ave. 10K! This race brings almost 30,000 runners, joggers, walkers, and countless spectators together for RVA’s biggest block party! Between the live music and DJs on the course entertaining runners and spectators alike, and the festival afterwards, Monument Ave is the place to be on Saturday morning. Waves start at 8:30 AM!

Once the race is run, head across the river to Legends Brewing for their 24th Anniversary Party! From the humble beginnings of a small tasting room to the now huge 380 seat deck overlooking the city, Legends has come a long way! Join them for a huge party with live music, food trucks, cornhole and face painting for the kids. Admission is free and beer tickets are $5! The party goes from 12:00-7:00!
