Stony Point Fashion Park is hosting a free kids New Year’s Eve party with fun activities like balloon twisting, face painting and a discount on skating at the ice rink! They will have party hats and noisemakers on deck for the balloon drop at noon! Come celebrate from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM.
The Science Museum of Virginia is hosting another noon party with a “ball pop” to ring in the New Year! A giant shiny ball will pop open to shower the huge crowd in the rotunda with 2,018 bouncy balls, paper streamers and confetti! Followed by an apple juice toast, spend the day at the museum enjoying a bunch of awesome hands-on activities geared for kids. Doors open at 9:30 and the cost of museum admission ($14.50 for adults, youth and seniors $13.50) gets you into the party!
If you’re young (or young at heart!) and want to dance the night away…
Party like Gatsby at Kabana Rooftop this New Year’s Eve! Roaring 20’s attire is highly encouraged along with your dancing shoes. Get there at 7:00 for the buffet and cocktail hour or be fashionably late to the party when doors to the dance floor open at 10:00. Watch the ball drop in NYC, enjoy a champagne toast at midnight, and take home party favors! Get tickets soon before the party is sold out!
Havana ’59 has you covered for a fun night of Cuban festivities to kick off the new year in style! Choose from packages including a three course Cuban dinner followed by a champagne toast, a night of salsa dancing, or both! There will be three time slots for dinner reservations: 5:00pm, 7:00pm, 9:00pm. Prices are as follows: Dancing: $30, Dinner: $60, Both: $70. Enjoy live music, raffle prizes, free food, brewery giveaways, and more! Tickets are $35 in advance and $40 at the door. Party goes from 8:00 – 1:00 AM!
Join Lunch Supper and celebrate the Grand Opening of their Scotts Addition event space, The Urban Roost! They’ll be serving hors d’oeuvers, appetizers, and a full dinner buffet! In addition to the champagne toast at midnight, you’ll get 4 drink tickets to enjoy specialty cocktails. Don’t worry if you blow through those 4 drinks the cash bar will be open all night! They’ll have a DJ spinning for all your dancing needs and a big celebration planned for midnight! Tickets are $110 each, with $10 of the cost going to the Ronald McDonald House of RVA.
