Celebrate with cider this Labor Day Weekend! Blue Bee Cider’s Summer Send-Off is on September 2 from 12:00-10:00 pm. Blue Bee, located in Scott’s Addition, will be releasing a new vintage of cider, food will be provided by Slideways Mobile Bistro and King of Pops. They will also have live music courtesy of string band “The Hot Seats.”

This weekend is also your last chance to see the Flying Squirrels play at home! Head to The Diamond to see a fireworks display on both Saturday and Sunday night, or catch the final game on Monday.

Maybe you’re looking to get out of Richmond for a day instead. Head out to James River Cellar Winery in Glen Allen on Saturday Sept 2 from 12 -5 to enjoy their celebration of the fall grape harvest and saying goodbye to the summer season. Enjoy live music, taste wine from four regional wineries, and grab some food from the on-site food trucks! Experience a special a special oyster and wine pairing from noon to 1 pm only! On Labor Day, Monday September 4th Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden will be hosting Genworth Free Community Day. All visitors to the botanical gardens will receive free admission 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Stroll through the gardens, take a salsa lesson, enjoy live music, experience the butterfly exhibit and more!
