We’re supposed to have another weekend of wonderful weather, so get out and enjoy what our city has to offer! Here’s what’s going on:

The Bluegrass Bash is returning to St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church tonight, Friday 9/15 from 5-8 pm. Come grab dinner from one of the local food trucks and enjoy some of the area’s best bluegrass bands. There will be free activities for kids, so the whole family can enjoy. Tickets are $10 for children (ages 2-11) and $15 for ages 12 and up. Ticket sales will support the outreach ministries of St. Stephen’s Church so you can have fun and help your community! The church is located at 6000 Grove Ave. and the event will be held in the parking lot.

From Richmond’s famous murals on the sides of buildings to the fine art studios, this city has become a true center for the arts. Come and see some of what the RVA art scene has to offer at the 24th annual 43rd Street Festival of the Arts. Enjoy live local bands, 75 fine artisans, and delicious food. Event runs on Saturday September 16th, from 10 am to 5 pm at Forest Hill Avenue and 43rd St. in Richmond.

And finally, Oktoberfest has come early to RVA! Enjoy authentic German food, dancing, contests, music, and of course, beer! They’ll have over 50 different local and German brews available for purchase. Admission is free and all ages are welcome, but children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Oktoberfest will run from Friday 9/15 to Sunday 9/17 at St. Benedict Catholic Church located at 300 N. Sheppard St. in Richmond.
